DNSExit.com offers a free feature where you can point your domain name at your home PC. If your IP address changes, this script will detect it and use the DNS Exit Dynamic IP API to update the IP address of your domain name.

UpdateDNSExit

If you buy domains from DNSExit.com and host the website on a server in your closet, you can use this script to update your IP address with DNSExit if your cable company changes your IP Address.

You set this script up to run once an hour using a CronTab job. It uses api.ipify.org to get your new IP address to see if it changed. Be sure to put your DNS Exit user name and password as well as the list of web sites you own in the script.

I also like DNS Exit's email services. DNS Exit can also host your website if you're not the "host in your closet" kind of person. :)
