freetube package for Void Linux

This package provides freetube, which is an Open Source browser for YouTube. It allows you to watch and subscribe videos without logging in to a Google account. Using this also means no tracking with cookies and Javascript. It also does not show ads. The subscriptions, history, and saved videos are stored locally on your computer and never sent out. Using a VPN or Tor is recommended to hide your IP while using FreeTube.

The template file is prepared for use with xbps-src in Void Linux.

Installation

sudo xbps-install xtools
git clone https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages
cd void-packages
./xbps-src binary-bootstrap
# Do the above once if not done already.
# Copy this `freetube` folder under `srcpkgs` folder, then...
./xbps-src pkg freetube
xi freetube
