Record the requirements and give some credit to existing projects such as gits-r-us, git-dit, or GitTorrent.

Take a look at other related network projects etc, non-code. * https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/ * https://bluishcoder.co.nz/2017/10/12/zerome-decentralized-microblogging-on-zeronet.html * https://zeronet.io/ * https://louis.center/p2p-social-networking/ * https://beakerbrowser.com/ * https://gnunet.org/ * https://github.com/dominictarr/scuttlebutt

i suppose it would be remiss not to mention now the git-pub spec discussions - the reason i changed the repo name was to avoid confusion with the existing notabug instance while bringing the notabug-2.0 discussions to the attention of the git-pub group

https://framalistes.org/sympa/arc/git-federation
https://github.com/git-federation/gitpub

as noted in the 2016 forge evaluations, coding-team is one of the few forges that already has some federation features - it would be good to have them in the discussion - the only others were vervis and pagure, both of which are already represented in the git-pub discussion

BTW, the forge evaluation spreadsheet was picked up by freenode user 'freephile' and is now mirrored in static form on his website

Thanks. I mostly just added the updated link in passing while talking to someone in person.

Ah, yes I should have linked Vervis.
