Mupen64Plus is a plugin-based N64 emulator for Linux which is capable
of accurately playing many games. Included are four MIPS R4300 CPU
emulators, with dynamic recompilers for 32-bit x86 and 64-bit amd64
systems, and necessary plugins for audio, graphical rendering (RDP),
signal co-processor (RSP), and input. There is 1 included OpenGL video
plugin, called RiceVideo. There are 3 other excellent video plugins
being maintained by wahrhaft, called Arachnoid, Glide64, and Z64.
Note: Mupen64plus will build against SDL2 and libminizip if installed, but they
are not required.
PyQt5 and PySDL2 are optional dependencies for the GUI frontend.
Mupen64Plus optionally supports using OpenGL ES 2 instead of OpenGL which
will require support in the video card and driver. This can be done by
building Mupen64Plus with:
GLES=1 ./mupen64plus.SlackBuild
To build the debugging symbols use:
DEBUG=1 ./mupen64plus.SlackBuild
