I like the profile recommendation feature. Unfortunately, you don't see any further details about the recommend persons, so it's hard to tell, if they are interesting to follow.
So I recommend to add at least the bio to the list. It would also be cool, to see further infos, if you hover the profile (e.g. registred since, number of posts, ...)

That one doesn't look nice.
I agree that you need more information to decide if you should follow someone but you can click on the name to open the full profile.
Halcyons UI is a clone of Twitter and Twitter doesn't include the bio at this point,too.
So much text in the little section looks really bad,sorry.

I agree, that the mockup looks not so nice and that a long text might take to much attention.
How about showing one line or a limited number of characters? I don't see that halycon / mastodon is restricted to be an exact copy of the twitter UI?

Well,Halcyon IS meant to be a exact copy of the Twitter UI while Mastodon isn't.I change many things for good but some of Twitters design choices make sense,like in this case.An upcoming feature are profile popups.That means if you hover over a username,you will get a small area with full profile info next to your cursor.That could help for this problem,too.
