I'll have a look at it!

Is http://37v2wqt3x2d2s54ezo546nkcevfo7jwvqrhrtmgbzfpsr2hyt5nq.b32.i2p/ working as intended?

For enhanced privacy there's already a Tor .onion instance at https://halcyonkqnyqlwho3kpalgs2uumntusy3kxulc7gkzfr3q7ybexukcyd.onion and that works great (I use it myself). I should consider adding it to the official instance list,we have only clearnet instances there currently to make it less confusing. A I2P instance would be a nice addition if you can get it to work. I will add it to the instance list then.

Indeed, a core problem with I2P is, that there is little to no clearnet connection, which halcyon needs to get the OAuth from the instance. If the used mastodon instance itself would be I2P, well, it would be a small and most likely cut off userbase. Using the same config for the I2P halcyon (except that its http, since https in I2P is weird to set up), however I get directed to an empty profile, as if logged in, instead of the usual /login. Putting /login at the end leads me to the usual starting site. But as said before: no clearnet connectivity = no use of halcyon possible. But well, theres a nonfunctional halcyon instance in the I2P net now at least. Also registered halcyon.i2p leading to another copy inside I2P.

@SolSoCoG Your site appears to at least load, but mine breaks at "https://halcyon.pro//auth?host=mstdn.io&codde={removed_for_privacy}". This may be my browser tho.

It also appears to interact with mstdn.io (my Mastodon instance).

Ideally, you may need to convert all clearnet URLs to use an I2p popular outproxy and/or create your own proxy. This way users will not need to access clearnet, only I2p.

I plan to experiment with the I2p browser as well.

Edit: Got almost identical response using I2p browser

Edit 2: for the /login segment I needed to reload since it wouldn't connect the first time.

The most important thing would probably be to support Pleroma i2p instances. http://vippbz3mvcil6oqfjkhp2e6virodweknijstozjqk5otxbvmh27a.b32.i2p/ https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/wikis/I2P-Federation
