I don't know much about the GTK link counting device. But here is an example of code in which when deleting widgets of type A, the destructor does not work for the MyContent object that I placed inside.
I also get a lot of CRITICAL warnings if I clicked on a button at least once and then deleted and re-created the widget(of any type).
