TouchMIDI
There are a few dependencies:
g++
qt4-make
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-dev
libxi-dev
xserver-xorg-dev
libasound2-dev
To install open terminal and go to this directory. Then enter:
qmake-qt4
make
then run the binary that appears here magically.

You should also enable SHMConfig if it is not already. There are instructions at:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticsTouchpad#Enabling_SHMConfig_in_order_to_get_synclient_debug_output
