Brother HL-2130 (and others) Printer Driver Setup Script for Debian or RPM

The script automatically installs the Printer driver for Brother HL-2130 (and many others) on a linux system having DEB or RPM support. It is not written by me. I have got a copy from here.

I tested on Sparky Rolling (Debian Testing) and it worked flawlessly.

Installation

1. Install cups on your system

sudo apt install cups

or

sudo yum install cups

2. cd to the directory and login as root

cd /path/to/the/script
sudo -s

3. Run the script:

bash linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.1-1

Follow the on screen instructions to complete the setup. If asked for model name, give it the model name like HL-2130 If you are connected through USB, then choose n when asked Will you specify the Device URI? [Y/n] ->. Otherwise choose y and provide the Device URL.
