Don't you have any notifications on your phone? What is your phone and Android version?

Could it be that your notifications are disabled? Maybe for power management?

The app only shows 1 notification when you are playing a stream. The notification shows the selected station and has 2 buttons: one to pause and another to stop the stream. Removing the notification will also stop the stream.

The notification should look like the one attached to this message.

I have had one notification from InternetRadio

So notifications do work?

InternetRadio only uses 1 notification, to display the current stream that is being played.

For reference, I have at hand an Android 4.2.1 and it works fine on this phone. I would assume that notifications work on Android 5.5.1... maybe it's just a settings issue in your phone? BTW can you actually listen to the stream at all? Is the problem only that you don't see the notification?

It would be useful to read a bug report for understanding why the notification is not showing on your phone... but I do not have a phone like yours to test, and I don't really know how I can reproduce the bug.

actually... do you mean that you see the notification, but the stop button doesn't work? Or you can't see the notification at all?

1- Notifications work usually. Except that InternetRadion notification is not displayed.

2- I am ready to help and to execute a special version on my phone.

You don't need a special version of the app. You can just build the app from this repository. Alternatively, here there seems to be more instructions for creating a bug report.

Sorry, I do not know what is "build" a app on Androïd.

I am ready to help by dowloading and installing and executing a special app, but no more. I am not ready to enter in Androïd insides. I would like sure. But I have too to learn Hebrew, greek, and drive my company...

If you consider the problem as minor, I can understand it and I choose another way. ;)

I have the same issue here under Android 4. Sometimes I get the Pause/Stop buttons described on zplus/InternetRadio#41 but it seems to be random, and most often, they don't appear. Tried toggling “Compact player”, switching application, playing with other notifications, and so on, but I cannot find a workaround, which forces me to kill the application more often than not.

Even if you cannot reproduce this issue, it would not be bad at all to have Pause/Stop buttons directly available in the application too, or making it possible to Stop on a press of the current station.

@waptaff the difference between "compact" and non-compact player is that with "compact" you should see only a notification that 1) if you click, it opens the app and 2) if you remove it, it stops the stream. The other option instead (non-compact) should give you 2 buttons, Stop and Pause. I don't know why you are not seeing them. But I've noticed that when the are several notifications open, Android may automatically hide the buttons (probably to make notifications take less space). If you tap and hold the notification for a few seconds, it should show you the hidden buttons (or maybe tap-hold-drag-down).

Either way, I'll look for a way to add a Stop/Pause button within the app window itself.
