MyBashrc

My .bashrc file.

Based on default Manjaro GNU/Linux .bashrc and mkottman two-line prompt bash script.

Installation

  1. Backup your ~/.bashrc file
  2. Replace existing ~/.bashrc file with .bashrc from this repository
  3. Run command source ~/.bashrc
  4. Set UTF-8 as your terminal emulator's encoding

Installation for root

  1. Backup your ~/.bashrc file
  2. Rename .bashrc-root from this repository to .bashrc and replace existing ~/.bashrc file with it.
  3. Run command source ~/.bashrc
  4. Set UTF-8 as your terminal emulator's encoding

Tested on:

  1. Manjaro GNU/Linux 20.1
  2. Trisquel GNU/Linux 9.0
  3. OpenBSD (should replace ksh with bash as a default shell and set use_color variable as false in script, because standard OpenBSD utilities do not support --color/--colour argument)
  4. Debian GNU/Hurd 2019
