- Going by the attached mock-up of the (home) timeline by rainydaysavings: the Groups tab/button in the center of the screen should open up the following tabs: * Home/joined Groups * Possible or desired to have Network groups notices? * public/local groups notices * groups directory -- off to the right Having these notices separated helps clean up the main feed on busier instances and keeps things more readable and discoverable. I've seen the firehose on poppin' sites and those public and whole known network timelines are just constantly going and stuff gets lost. Just wait until the fediverse gets even bigger... Perhaps, instead there could be a CSS drop-down menu or even a smooth CSS slide when Timeline (next to groups, people) is clicked that'll give the user an option to display which feeds are shown i.e. public + public groups or just public and then after a (hr) or --- type of separator there could be an option to display media. another example of how this could be done: (formatted within notabug's capabilities) This example is the other way around from the above paragraph. As spookie in XMPP interpreted, a filter. ( Home Timeline )
[X] Statuses
[X] Groups
[X] Media
[X] Polls/Surveys
[X] Bookmarks
[X] Questions
______________
[X] People
[X] Bands
[X] Shoppes
[X] Organizations
[X] Bots

Addendum: Tabs

Timeline:
Home | (Account/Actor) Lists | Network | Public

Groups:
Home* | Network | Public | Directory
Accounts:
All | People | Artists | Businesses | Organizations | Bots
