  11. Polls 2.0. This is the future. They do everything you can imagine. Any poll type you could ever want. Inspired by Animaniacs and LimeSurvey butt-fitted for GNU Social. On a scale of -10 to 10 how much brain do you have right now? Documentation: https://manual.limesurvey.org/Question_types Out of those, I think the following should be implemented: * Arrays <br /> Let user select how many choices the poll has. New text field should auto generate when last box is filled when creating poll. User should also be able to decide things like "Y/N/Uncertain" and "+/=/-" when setting up a poll. * Mask questions <br /> Change Gender/sex: M, F, Trans, Two-Spirited, Other. I'm not quite sure what else to suggest here. The more I think, the more questionnaires I come up with. These ones seem more like different tools. * Multiple or single choice <br /> User decides how many "points" and whether it's a dropdown, radio, and whether there should be a textbox for a comment. * Straight up text questions <br /> Short (single line) or huge (many lines -- 10?) adjustable kind of like the one on notabug. Or multiple short text boxes. Tweaks. <br /> Allow option to have a file upload anywhere or, at least, anywhere there is a text comment box. Web admin should have an additional setting to limit max size. There should be max limits hardcoded. Maybe 4GB per file with 50 per survey? Just to prevent craziness. Nobody should ever hit whatever these limits are. <br /> Perhaps an anti-spam frequency limit too. Only X amount per account per Y time. Same with per group. Shouldn't ever be an issue unless someone's attempting to harm the site. The idea is to simplify poll creation and taking. These must be easy to set up and also look nice. Polls/Surveys should have graphs and charts to view results. They should have: * configurable time limits. * for groups, minimum configurable time as a group member to be eligible to participate * when a group member leaves the group, if possible, the vote should also disappear * except for after the survey ended. * upon hitting the time limit, a snapshot should be made and there should be configurable ways to notify the survey creator and participants. * If there's a winner, i.e. in a contest, the winner and X runner ups should be announced automatically. * survey should be automatically moved to a "past" section according to either week number or ISO 8601 (year-month-day), configurable by poll creator. * automatic posting of new surveys! i.e. Group admin can queue up, a i.e. 52, surveys and schedule them to be posted weekly. * If files, i.e. images or (GNU FM / FunkWhale hosted ?!) songs, are submitted as survey entries, they should go into a dedicated Group Gallery Album. Defined by survey creator, defaulting to Group Gallery/Year/week number - Survey This post is rather large. I'm going to post this, further work on it in Dreamwidth, and edit this post.
