  1. If you checked out this source tree directly from GRUB Git, you might be
  2. wondering where are the POT and PO files. Here are some instructions
  3. that will hopefully clarify the situation.
  4. - If you're a user or a distributor, simply fill the po directory by
  5. importing translations from the Translation Project:
  6. ./linguas.sh
  7. GRUB's build system will automatically detect those and include them
  8. in your install.
  9. - If you're a translator and want to add a new translation or improve an
  10. existing one, get in touch with the Translation Project
  11. (http://translationproject.org/). The GRUB project doesn't interact
  12. with translators directly (but we dearly appreciate your work!).
  13. - If you're a developer adding/removing/modifying translatable strings,
  14. you can check that these turn into a sane POT file by using the
  15. `po/grub.pot' make rule.
  16. - If you're the maintainer of GNU GRUB preparing a new release, don't
  17. forget to include the latest PO files in your source tarball!
