I don't know what this is called in GNU Emacs but the keybinding is M-/ and it does a tab-like completion on your typed word searching in the current buffer. This is very handy! I want it. Only issue is that ait uses M-/ for redo. Not sure what I'd use, maybe M-., since it's on the > key and the greater-than looks like an arrow.
