upper(1) - General Commands Manual

NAME

upper - convert characters from lowercase to uppercase

SYNOPSIS

upper [options] [string1 string2 ...]

DESCRIPTION

upper convert characters in strings from lowercase to uppercase

OPTIONS

-f first character only

EXAMPLES

$ upper string

STRING

$ upper string1 string2 string3

STRING1 STRING2 STRING3

$ upper -f string1 string2 string3
