These pairs of files have caused crashes of GNU diffs:
NEWS.~13~ NEWS.~14~
diff-p1003.letter diff-p1003.letter.~3~
diff-NEWS diff-NEWS.~11~
Probably a bug in the basic algorithm implementation.
Other bugs and needed features noted at head of file diff-new.c
This pair of files is a minimal standard test case:
diff-test-from.text diff-test-to.text
Suggest running against a Unix BSD diff, and using (compare-windows) in
GNU Emacs to find any differences.
