Our general policy on bots on SDF's IRCd:
0) Testing can be done in #bots. Please don't disconnect/connect a lot, it fills the logs.
1) Ask existing chans, and get a consensus of approval, before adding a bot to said chan.
2) Have your bot use the hostmask *!bot@* to prevent it from auto-joining #helpdesk.
3) Keep testing out of main chans.
4) If a bot is allowed in to a main chan like #sdf, it must respond to '!botlist':`
4a) The output will identify the bot, owner, and source code location.
4b) Any data collection and sharing must also be identified.
