  2. meaner. Land and air based vehicles take combat to a new level; while
  3. an arsenal of new weaponry, daunting arenas and battlefields and the

  8. Notes:
  9. A guide for how to use this SlackBuild to install ut2004 with this SlackBuild
  10. using the game source found at gog.com can be found here:
  11. http://docs.slackware.com/howtos:misc:games:ut2004
  12. This takes the installer (which has the latest version) from Linux
  13. Installers For Linux Gamers and nicely installs it into a package
  14. following Slackware standards. This SlackBuild should detect if you're
  15. playing on a 32-bit or 64-bit system and install the correct bins.
  16. Your game data (and mods) must go into "/usr/share/games/ut2004". There
  17. is a home folder (.ut2004) for your configs, but you'll need to be able
  18. to modify the contents located under the share/games folder. You should
  19. have permissions to modify this folder with the games group.
  20. It's probably best to put the game data downloaded from Steam or from
  21. your CDs in "/usr/share/games/ut2004" before installing this SlackBuild.
  22. You'll need to create a file named, "CDkey" in the
  23. "/usr/share/games/ut2004/System" directory. And in it, you need to
  24. provide the cd key you have from Steam or the retail box. Otherwise the
  25. game will fail to launch.
  26. The mod selection menu is broken, you'll need to launch mods with a
  27. parameter. Here is an example with Killing Floor: ut2004 -mod=KFMod20
