  1. Laughing Dog Screen Maker
  2. -------------------------
  3. U P D A T E H I S T O R Y
  4. ------------------------------
  5. Release Version 1.14
  6. ----------------------
  7. Last Updated: September 1992
  8. ---------------------------
  9. This file contains descriptions of the updates made to the
  10. Laughing Dog Screen Maker program since the first release in
  11. March 1992.
  12. --------------------------------------------------------------
  13. LDOG.EXE
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------
  15. V1.01:
  16. --Internal release only.
  17. V1.02:
  18. 20APR92 -- Fixed a bug in the PostScript output which caused the
  19. alternate PrCh function to fail. For consistency, all file and
  20. path names are now forcedto uppercase.
  21. --Fixed a bug introduced in V1.01 which prevented the PostScript
  22. option from working correctly.
  23. V1.10:
  24. 25JUL92 -- Fixed a problem with the Set Last Screen Row dialog box
  25. that would sometimes cause the row number to increment more than
  26. one row at a time when using the mouse.
  27. --Initialize screen to White on Black ($0F) upon start-up.
  28. --Added ASCII Text output to the Generate Code/Export Menu. (See
  29. READ.ME file for more info on using this feature)
  30. --Added the ability to automatically insert WildCat! and PCBoard
  31. @variables into a screen using <cntl>-V hot key.(See READ.ME file
  32. for more info on using this feature)
  33. --Limited the length of screen rows exported as PCBoard or
  34. WildCat! BBS files to 79 chars. This change was necessary to
  35. avoid screens displaying a blank line between each row from
  36. within WildCat! and PCBoard on screens having a background color
  37. -- Laughing Dog Screen Maker HISTORY.DOC Page 1 of 3 --
  38. other than black. The last row on the screen (row 79) is now
  39. truncated.
  40. --Changed the colors used in the help screens. People suffering
  41. from certain kinds of color blindness were having trouble seeing
  42. the green on black text, so the colors were changed to solve this
  43. problem. If it is still difficult to see, please let me know and
  44. I will keep on adjusting until everyone can read the help
  45. screens. (Unfortunately, the colors are hard-coded into the help
  46. file, and cannot be user configured at this time).
  47. V1.11:
  48. 14AUG92 -- Removed the invalid WildCat! BBS @variables @NODESTAT###@
  49. and @NODEUSER###@ from the WildCat! @Variable Menu.
  50. V1.12:
  51. 02SEP92 -- Although still not "officially" supported, EGA and VGA
  52. extended screen modes (modes with more than the standard 25
  53. screen rows, like 35-line mode, 50-line mode, etc.) work better
  54. now. Fixed the problem of the mouse cursor occasionally not
  55. being able to move beyond the 25th row. Fixed the problem of
  56. getting multiple copies of a window, copied block, or BBS
  57. @variables showing up on the screen when using the Make a Window,
  58. Paste From File, or Insert BBS Variable features while UNDO was
  59. active. NOTE: In order for LDOG to work with these extended
  60. screen modes, the display must be in the mode prior to running
  61. LDOG.EXE, if you start LDOG in one mode then shell out to DOS and
  62. put the display in another mode, the screen will change, but LDOG
  63. will behave as though the original mode is still in effect, not a
  64. pretty sight...
  65. V1.13:
  66. Internal release only
  67. V1.14:
  68. 25SEP92 -- Fixed a bug which caused the check mark to appear on the
  69. wrong line of the Generate Code Menu when toggling the "AS
  70. Monochrome" choice on and off.
  71. --Fixed a bug which sometimes caused the program not to return to
  72. the default drive and directory upon quitting if the program was
  73. executed through the DOS search path from another location on the
  74. hard drive.
  75. --When Copy to File is selected from the Block Menu, the default
  76. file name in the Save File dialog box now defaults to the last
  77. block file name saved or pasted.
  78. -- Laughing Dog Screen Maker HISTORY.DOC Page 2 of 3 --
  79. --Fixed a bug in the Color Pascal and Monochrome Assembly code
  80. generated which prevented it from running correctly on some XT
  81. computers with BIOS dates earlier than 1/10/86.
  82. --Added early binding to some functions in the PostScript code
  83. generated which could speed PostScript printing somewhat.
  84. --Added the "/#copies 1 def" variable definition to the
  85. PostScript code, which allows you to more efficiently print
  86. multiple copies of screens by changing the "1" to the number of
  87. copies you wish to print.
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------
  89. LDOGSHOW.EXE
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------
  91. V1.01:
  92. 20APR92 -- Fixed the Copyright notice in the helpscreen
  93. V1.02:
  94. 21JUL92 -- Program has not changed since V1.01, it was just recompiled
  95. with a different compiler.
  96. V1.03:
  97. 03SEP92 -- Fixed the bug which prevented a single file with a filename
  98. beginning with a numeric character from being displayed.
  99. --------------------------------------------------------------
  100. LDOGRAB.EXE
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------
  102. V1.02:
  103. 21JUL92 -- Fixed a problem which caused unexpected results if a screen
  104. being captured contained the characters with the values 0 or 255
  105. (which would have shown up as spaces on the application screen).
  106. These character values are now replaced with a normal space
  107. character (32 decimal/20 hex).
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------
  109. BLK2EPS.EXE
  110. --------------------------------------------------------------
  111. 13APR92 -- Fixed a bug which caused the alternate PrCh function to
  112. fail. For consistency, all file and path names are now forced to
  113. uppercase.
