- transit.org.uk is a website for a transgender support group,
- started by Leah Rowe.
- Leah Rowe is herself a trans woman. She came out as trans to friends in March 2016,
- family in April 2016 and publicly in May 2016. Since June 2016 she has been on
- HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and has been living full-time as a woman since
- July 2016, going out dressed in female clothing publicly every day and presenting
- under a female identity to the world.
- Leah has suffered a lot of mental hardship during most of her life, struggling
- with gender dysphoria and general depression. Since going on hormones, and
- becoming more stable in her transition, she decided that it was time to start
- helping other trans people. That's what transit.org.uk is all about.

- Leah Rowe is also responsible for 2 other projects:

- "Free Software" project to implement a BIOS for laptop, desktop and server
- computers. This project is well-known in its own niche community.

- Leah's day to day life mostly involves computer programming, and general geekiness.
- She first started using computers in her early childhood, and started teaching
- herself programming during teens.
