  1. EDIT: I found it! By some miracle I got files from an ancient hardware and
  2. though most things were gone, I found a log which recorded names of programs
  3. that were run and among which I found the game: it was a Czech game collection
  4. called Gamebox.
  5. This is a game I played with my bros when I was young but can't find. I've
  6. already put considerable effort in searching for it, posted on reddit threads
  7. but without success. If you have some info about this game, please let me know.
  8. Anything here may be false as I was super small at the time and my memory may be
  9. distorted, but here's what I remember:
  10. Super old 2D DOS (probably) game from the 90s I used to play on Windows 3.1 I
  11. think.
  12. It was multiple-in-one type of game with like 10 subgames (the game selection
  13. menu was horizontally placed pictures along the bottom side of the screen):
  14. - One game where there was Yellow Submarine by Beatles MIDI melody playing as a
  15. music (we agree on this with my bros), I think you controlled a submarine in
  16. this game, seen from the side.
  17. - In one you controlled a plane (my brother says maybe a helicopter) that kept
  18. flying from one side of the screen to the other and from top to bottom.
  19. There was a city underneath you and you had to drop bombs to wipe all the
  20. buildings so that you could land when you got all the way down.
  21. - One game in which you controlled a soldier with some artillery canon (or
  22. something like that), it was top-down and you moved around the screen and kept
  23. shooting upwards at something.
  24. - Also some snake-like game maybe? Not sure about this.
  25. Platform(s): PC, prbably DOS (played on Windows 3.1 I think)
  26. Genre: multiple-in-one (minigames)
  27. Estimated year of release: about 1990 - 1997
  28. Graphics/art style: 2D, colorful, small sprites
  29. Notable gameplay mechanics: city bombing mini-game, top-down soldier with cannon
  30. game, submarine 2D game
  31. I don't remember having to unlock the games, they were all playable from the
  32. start.
