#29 Navicat rewrite in Rust

We all appreciate Navicat Premium. It has been a game changer for me. Really...the new data generation feature eases testing for me. And there is lot more I like about Navicat Premium.

I want to invite all of us, especially @doublesine to start a collaborative work. We need to rewrite the software in Rust in order to avoid all memory issues in it. Then we'll redistribute it for free or for a very low licence price. Let me know what you think about the idea. Thank you

You realize Navicat is proprietary software and owned by its respective company, right? What you suggest is impossible to be done.

I know Navicat is proprietary. But the idea behind Navicat is proprietary in no way. What I suggest is a tool with the very same features as Navicat's, inspired by the design of Navicat (internally, the UI can look different), with less or no memory flaws and finally with a different name. A different product. Kind like Windows and MacOS

Good luck to anyone that starts such a project. It will take a hufe amount of effort to even come close to such a tool like Navicat. I really wish someone would start a Navicat clone.
