When the timing is appropriate, we should start a campaign for people to review GS on as many sites as possible. Who should register GS on said sites? I'd be willing to if noone else wants to.

Some of these may not yet have an appropriate category but, if allowed, I'd find something similar.

Additionally, we should contact various e-zines, GNU+Linux-y/nerdy sites, and netcasts/content creators to mention GS. This should be done with every major release.

  • Hacker Public Radio
we could easily create an episode that'll be definitely be published. Could be very technical or broad overview. Maybe even a series about more in-depth usage and then link to the episodes on the site or in documentation.
  • Reach out to Jupiter Broadcasting again
  • TWiT may make a short honorable mention somewhere
  • Mintcast
  • Linux Outlaws?
  • LWDW ?
  • Destination Linux / Ask Noah
  • Libre Lounge

Code Repos

Other outreach ideas:

  • contact LUGs, Ubuntu LoCos, 2600, Maker communities. and other geeky social groups and encourage them to create an account on the respective site. i.e. 2600.community which would also give an XMPP account and other web software/services of interest to that group. Tools such as PASTE, YOURLS, and Etherpad that could integrate as plugins. Or, if necessary, Jitsi or Murmur.
The idea being that these are world wide communities that generally value freedom. There could be a Group + MUC for each local group. Most are already on IRC so bridges could be setup. Some are on platforms like Wire or Discord for communication.
