Assuming there's some way to have only one copy of an image that is posted multiple places by multiple actors,
when media is posted, there could be a button to pin it to a specific album in a user's or group's gallery. album defined by user at time of pinning.
I think this basically makes Pinterest & open source version: https://github.com/pinry/pinry into GS. lol

Single copy somewhere on the web server with each user symbolically linking to it and they each get their own URL.
