Groups and Actor Profiles should have their own themes when viewing respective pages.
Group Creators/Leaders or, optionally, Admins of that Group should be able to write and upload custom Layouts. These could potentially hide or re-arrange certain/most elements and include custom fonts, images/icons(maybe), and smilie/emoji packs.
There could be a text box for pasting certain allowed HTML+CSS in the Group Settings.
Same thing for profiles.
However, there does need to be a link somewhere back to the main GS page.

We want the user experience to be consistent across pages, otherwise it can become quite annoying (like happened in hi5).
Changes everyone can see:
- Cover change
- Avatar change (already available in v2)
- Profile stuff :') (already available in v2)
Changes only the user can see:
- Theme (already available in v2)
- Background (already available in v2)
- Colour pallete

A theme wouldn't make things inconsistent, it just changes the colors and artwork to personalize everything for the group. i.e. make the Group match the respective phpbbforum or their main website.
Users could override each Groups' theme in their settings and view it in their own style like Dreamwidth allows for journals & communities.
What's hi5?

hi5 is like iorbix.com
Well, we can let the group admin change the theme colour palette.
