ClickGuard

For Firefox-based Web browsers. No more unwanted unintentional mouse clicks!

  1. Install ClickGuard from Mozilla's official and secure site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/clickguard/
  2. Open a Web page. Now you have a button named ClickGuard on your Firefox.
  3. Click & toggle the ClickGuard button.
  4. All mouse actions are disabled on this tab now. Let's try!
  5. Don't warry. Click the button once more and everything will be fine again!
  6. ClickGuard works against each tab. Toggling ClickGuard for one tab doesn't affect another.
  7. This is everything ClickGuard does. No unnecessary bloated features included.

Compatibility notes

  • We're working to make ClickGuard work correctly on Firefox for Android, Thunderbird and Seamonkey. Sorry for inconvenience now. Technically, this is related to issues in Mozilla's Add-on SDK.

Building

  • Needed: git, make and POSIX-compatible environment. GNU sed and grep recommended. ClickGuard uses jpm.sh for building.

  • Test run with: ./tools/jpm.sh/bin/jpm-run.sh

  • Build with:

    $ make deps
    $ make
