	My mother wanted to donate the remaining garage sale items, which was almost everything because we&apos;d failed to sell much, because they didn&apos;t want us to have to put it back in the house only to have to pull it out again today.
	However, the only reason that we were going to put it all back in and haul it back out was to prevent theft in the night.
	Because the items were going to be donated anyway if they didn&apos;t sell, I thought that we&apos;d be better off leaving everything out and trying to sell more tomorrow.
	I explained my thinking to my mother and they agreed, so we left it all out.
	That turned out not to work so well though.
	A surprise downpour drenched everything.
	Not only were we now unable to sell anything today, we also had a wet mess to deal with and some items (such as books) were ruined.
	We spent the morning rushing things into the house and drying them.
	We would have been better off donating everything as originally planned.
	The latter part of the day was then spent picking up my siblings from Springfield.
	Overall, it wasn&apos;t a very productive day, thanks to my suggestion that we try the sale again today.
