#6 DLC/Patches for games without a titlekey

Exactly what it says. There are some games that aren't available on eShop but still have DLC and/or update patches. And if you possess such a game, you cannot download either of those.

You're right. Ideally, when someone has a game cart in their console which isn't recognized by freeShop, it will fetch necessary game info from eShop servers (when possible) or from cart itself.

But there are game cart dumps floating around the Internet which still have DLC and patches but no eShop release (or rather, simply a lack of a titlekey). And freeShop doesn't provide a way to fetch said DLC/patches for those games.
