  2. Authorship Information
  3. The Common Lisp HyperSpec is not the ANSI Common Lisp standard, but is
  4. based on that standard (with permission from ANSI and X3).
  5. As an official reference to the Common Lisp language, hardcopy
  6. documentation of ANSI Common Lisp, (American National Standard X3.226)
  7. from ANSI is always definitive.
  8. The hypertext markup for this document was created by Kent Pitman,
  9. with the aid of a custom program written in Common Lisp and created
  10. specifically for this task. Funding for the markup task was provided
  11. by and copyright of the result is owned by Xanalys Incorporated. Some
  12. additional design documents have been included in marked up form and
  13. cross-referenced which are not part of the standard but may be useful
  14. in understanding it. Plaintext versions of these documents, which
  15. offer a useful historical perspective, are available to anyone by
  16. anonymous public FTP from ftp://parcftp.xerox.com/pub/cl/cleanup/.
  17. The Java applet used in the Symbol Index (visible only in some
  18. browsers) was written by Evan Williams. Its copyright is owned by
  19. Xanalys Incorporated.

  41. 3. all HTML pages to which the main index page links using relative links;
  42. 4. all graphical (GIF) images to which it links using relative
  43. links, such as the Harlequin logo that appears on each page; and

  45. http://www.harlequin.com/ that appears on each page.
  46. Permissions related to performance and to creation of derivative works
  47. are expressly NOT granted.
  48. Permission to make partial copies is expressly NOT granted, EXCEPT
  49. that limited permission is granted to transmit and display a partial
  50. copy the Common Lisp HyperSpec for the ordinary purpose of direct
  51. viewing by a human being in the usual manner that hypertext browsers
  52. permit the viewing of such a complete document, provided that no
  53. recopying, redistribution, redisplay, or retransmission is made of any
  54. such partial copy.

  86. ANY INACCURACY OR ERROR IN THIS DOCUMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE
  87. POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
  88. Additional Disclaimers
  89. Not all notations in that TeX-based document were possible to
  90. represent exactly in HTML, although an attempt has been made to be as
  91. accurate as possible. Nevertheless, the process of translation was
  92. heuristic, and discrepancies might have resulted. Formally, the
  93. official ANSI printed document is always the definitive reference.
  94. The X3J13 issue documents are not part of the standard and are
  95. provided purely for historical perspective. It is possible that some
  96. of the documents, as included, are not the final form that X3J13
  97. voted, or that some which were voted were omitted, or that references
  98. from these documents into the source text are not complete, or that
  99. some edits prescribed by these documents were incorrectly implemented,
  100. or that other discrepancies exist between these documents and the
  101. specification. These documents have no formal weight, and in all
  102. cases, the hardcopy specification is definitive. Trademarks LispWorks
