#3 old3DS ARM11 Crash when trying to exit

I have an Old3ds with Boot9strap 1.2+Luma 8.1.1+ Sys 11.5.0-38). When press "start" to exit, there's a crash error. Freeshop 3.1.2 was working fine.

Pressing Home and then close works fine.

Im getting the same arm 11 crash error. when pressing start to exit.
I've removed freeshop thru FBI and reinstalled again with QR code and still get the same error.

same thing happens on my n2dsxl for some reason it does not happen on my friends o3dsxl. Im tempted to go threw the process of installing ntrboot all over agan and see if that fixes it. I just did my friends a day ago and mine were over a week ago.

Days ago i was able to get rid of this, unistalling freeshop totally from the system and do a new, clean installation. But today opened the app and downloaded a new cache and there's the bug again.

The reason that you can't access the file is because it is from a hidden Discord channel.

went into fbi deleted title, deleted data folder. reinstalled with above version. still same arm 11 dump

*Deleted Freeshop (app & ticket) via FBI

*Deleted Freeshop folder in \Data

*Installed new Freeshop cia.

*First run, got message about missing keys, press start, went to Home perfectly.

*Second run, got message about missing keys, go to options, scan qrcode for the Keys, update cache, then restart freeshop.

*third run, disable audio in option, cheched the game list, pressed start, then arm11 error again.

so in all the systems ive used this on, the ones with 32gb sdhc cards have no issues, the ones with 64gb and higher sdxc cards crash.

Yesterday checked my cousin's old 3ds, he's using a 8GB SD and have the same problem. (?)

damn it was just a thought, reformated my n2dsxl and used a 32gb card, still having the same issue. running 11.6, b9s 1.3, luma 8.1.1

could you check if the process "sapphire" is running in the process list in rosalina when you run freeShop?

Installed sapphire.cia. The problem persist in the two consoles (mine & cousin's)

Can confirm the same problem on New3DS (B9S 1.3, Luma 8.1.1) with 64GB SD card

Problem persists after installing sapphire.cia, "Sapphire" process in Rosalina process list while running Freeshop. Pressing start still causes an exception on Arm11

Same here. I've been having this issue for a little while. I have a N3DSXL, B9S 1.3, Luma 8.1.1, N3DS patches enabled (L2/CPU). I've had this issue on 11.4 and still on 11.6. I have a custom theme installed (it's actually 4 themes on random). Installed with Themely, now managed by Anemone3DS.

Here is a copy of the dump file. I hope this can help solve the issue.

I also am having this same issue. If I press start, the app will crash and shut down my New 3DS XL. B9s 1.3, Luma 8.1.1, 64GB card formatted to 64GB. Custom zelda theme installed with themely.

n3dsxl newest firm, b9s, luma. 128gb c10 microsd. start crashes freeshop. I've tried removing all pending downloads, removed freeshop, removed /3ds/data/freeshop. reinstalled, same problem. loads fine, installs fine, and can close with home, but crashes when I hit start, downloads queued or not.

I also just ran into this issue. As well as no problem in re-producing it every-time without fail. In fact, it's as simple as Launching the FreeShop 3.1.7 (cia) and then pressing "Start".

N2DSXL 11.5 / B9S 1.3 / Luma 8.1.1 / 32GB FAT32 C10 MicroSD

I will run a few tests and let you know of my results.

Update: Only the CIA is affected, the 3.1.7 .3dsx version works (N2DSXL 11.5.0-38U).

Update 2: The 3.1.7 version of the .3dsx file crashes when the power button is pressed (N2DSXL 11.5.0-38U), but did not after updating to 11.60-39U. This one may have been an isolated case.

Update 3: The 3.1.6 & 3.1.7 .3dsx version have none of the above mentioned issues (On an Old 3DS XL 11.3.0-36U & 11.6.0-39U)

Update 4: The 3.1.7 .3dsx version crashes when the Home Button on a 2DS XL ( 11.6.0-39U) is pressed. This only appears to affect the 2DS XL.

Just bought a 2DS (not XL) today. Using the 4GB SD card it came with.

Fresh out of the box, I ran through 3ds.guide.

At the end of the process I installed freeshop via the QR code/FBI.

Freeshop launches and installs titles flawlessly. However, hitting Start will cause the crash that we're all seeing here.

Did anyone have this issue prior to Rosalina? For everyone who has this issue, have you replaced an app with the hbmenu using Rosalina or just the normal hblauncher_loader? Or both? I have seen slightly different behavior depending on if I have Rosalina replace an app with hbmenu versus just using the hblauncher_loader like normal.

I am able to reproduce on a New 3DS XL and two different Old 2DSes, both running Luma 8.1.1.

Both have used Rosalina to replace Download Play with boot.3dsx
