#44 New Nether mapgen devoid of ores....

It may be needed to copy the netherak ores such as titanium, etc... to have nether:basalt equivalents ....

Netherak appears to be at most a decoration/filler in the new nether mapgen....

In new terrain generation... out past the old nether roof (see daniel1->Super Nether Roof 2)

thin lava crust layer with minor netherak

nether:basalt mixed with 20-40 node thick layer of lava crust - occasional netherak

thick basalt layer

giant cavern with floor of lava ocean - all basalt

In old terrain where prior nether already existed... it is weird because there is tons of netherak newly generated until you reach the basalt cavern core...

Titanium is basically non-existant in these huge caverns

The new nether has it's own layers. There should be plenty of the normal netherrack, if you're not finding it you are probably too low down. Once I get some dangers added to the lower levels of Nether I'll see about adding in some ores, right now there is very little danger once you get down, so it would be too easy to harvest materials.

So nether was updated recently?

just to note: I just explored a newly generated area of the nether today, and there was plenty of nether rack, with its ores. There are also areas that have mostly basalt, but its like biomes: some places have basalt, others have nether rack.

I'm working on getting some ores added to basalt. I wanted to add some danger to the basalt areas before adding in the good stuff.
