Some sort of vending machine for newspapers that would only allow a player to buy one, or would have infinite inventory. Of course if it were to have infinite inventory the newspaper would have to be something other than a book or people could get unlimited books cheaply.

This is proving to be difficult. Books store the text in metadata, and I don't know how to copy that metadata and apply it to another book.
