  1. CTWM is an extension to twm, originally written by Claude Lecommandeur
  2. that support multiple virtual screens, and a lot of other goodies.
  3. You can use and manage up to 32 virtual screens called workspaces.
  4. You swap from one workspace to another by clicking on a button in
  5. an optional panel of buttons (the workspace manager) or by invoking
  6. a function.
  7. You can custom each workspace by choosing different colors, names
  8. and pixmaps for the buttons and background root windows.
  9. Its main features are:
  10. - Optional 3D window titles and border (ala Motif).
  11. - Shaped, colored icons.
  12. - Multiple icons for clients based on the icon name.
  13. - Windows can belong to several workspaces.
  14. - A map of your workspaces to move quickly windows between
  15. different workspaces.
  16. - Animations: icons, root backgrounds and buttons can be animated.
  17. - Pinnable and sticky menus.
