  1. Zim is a graphical text editor used to maintain a collection of wiki
  2. pages. Each page can contain links to other pages, simple formatting,
  3. and images. Pages are stored in a folder structure, like in an
  4. outliner, and can have attachments. Creating a new page is as easy as
  5. linking to a nonexistent page. All data is stored in plain text files
  6. with wiki formatting. Various plugins provide additional
  7. functionality, like a task list manager, an equation editor, a tray
  8. icon, and support for version control.
  9. Zim can be used to:
  10. Keep an archive of notes
  11. Keep a daily or weekly journal
  12. Take notes during meetings or lectures
  13. Organize task lists
  14. Draft blog entries and emails
  15. Do brainstorming
  16. NOTE:
  17. Zim can be expanded with plugins. From 'preferences' go to
  18. 'plugins' and anything marked 'failed' can be installed either
  19. from SBo or pip. These aren't dependencies; Zim runs without them.
