  1. The MEME suite: motif based sequence analysis tools
  2. The MEME Suite allows the biologist to discover novel motifs in
  3. collections of unaligned nucleotide or protein sequences, and to perform
  4. a wide variety of other motif-based analyses. The Suite supports motif-
  5. based analysis of DNA, RNA and protein sequences. It provides motif
  6. discovery algorithms using both probabilistic (MEME) and discrete models
  7. (MEME), which have complementary strengths. It also allows discovery of
  8. motifs with arbitrary insertions and deletions (GLAM2). In addition to
  9. motif discovery, the MEME Suite provides tools for scanning sequences
  10. for matches to motifs (FIMO, MAST and GLAM2Scan), scanning for clusters
  11. of motifs (MCAST), comparing motifs to known motifs (Tomtom), finding
  12. preferred spacings between motifs (SpaMo), predicting the biological
  13. roles of motifs (GOMo), measuring the positional enrichment of sequences
  14. for known motifs (CentriMo), and analyzing ChIP-seq and other large
  15. datasets (MEME-ChIP).
  16. Check README.TESTS for runing the recommended tests on the compiled
  17. executables. Here, the tests *FAIL* on a 32bit system!
  18. Check README.DATABASES for more info or if you want to install
  19. meme-suite without the databases present at build time.
