  1. AmplifX: Manage, test and design your primers for PCR.
  2. The main purpose of AmplifX is to seek in a collection of primers,
  3. such as any molecular biologist get in his refrigerators, those which
  4. can be use to amplify a fragment into a target sequence, for example,
  5. and particularly, to design strategies to screen recombinant clones by
  6. PCR. Main features:
  7. Manage your primers
  8. - Import or easily create primer lists
  9. - Name,comment, sort primers
  10. - Share simply primer lists (automatic lockout in read only mode of
  11. files yet opened by an other user)
  12. - Automatic calculation of quality score (TM [Santa-Lucia method],
  13. length, GC%, autodimer, complexity, etc.)
  14. - Works with degenerate sequences
  15. Test your primers
  16. - Localise your primers on target sequences (main file formats
  17. supported and "intelligent" copy-paste)
  18. - Prediction of amplified sequences
  19. - Interactive graphic map
  20. - Pertinent informations on matches and amplicons (TM, size, predicted
  21. dimers, etc.)
  22. Design your primers
  23. - Simple and intuitive interface to design new primers for amplifying
  24. a fragment choosing the amplicon size and/or the position
  25. - Many of design options
  26. NOTE:
  27. This is just repackaging of the ready binary for x86 and will not run
  28. on x86_64. It will probably work fine on a Slackware multilib box.
