  1. bristol (Synthesiser Emulations on Linux)
  2. Bristol is synth emulation package for a diverse range of vintage
  3. synthesisers, electric pianos and organs. The application consists of
  4. a multithreaded audio synthesizer and a user interface called brighton.
  5. Note: If bristol is already installed on the build host, the build will
  6. fail. I assume the bristol authors have a good reason for wanting this
  7. to happen, so I don't alter this behaviour. If you want to try, edit
  8. the SlackBuild and add --disable-version-check to the configure command.
  9. Otherwise, do a "removepkg bristol" before building.
  10. This package uses POSIX filesystem capabilities to execute with
  11. elevated privileges (required for realtime audio processing). This
  12. may be considered a security/stability risk. Please read
  13. http://www.slackbuilds.org/caps/ for more information. To disable
  14. capabilities, pass SETCAP=no to the script.
