Perl-Tokenizer

Perl::Tokenizer is a tiny tokenizer which splits a given Perl code into a list of tokens, using the power of regular expressions.

EXAMPLE

use Perl::Tokenizer;
my $code = 'my $num = 42;';
perl_tokens { print "@_\n" } $code;

which generates the following tokens:

      ( keyword              => ( 0,  2) )
      ( horizontal_space     => ( 2,  3) )
      ( scalar_sigil         => ( 3,  4) )
      ( var_name             => ( 4,  7) )
      ( horizontal_space     => ( 7,  8) )

      ( horizontal_space     => ( 9, 10) )

INSTALLATION

To install this module, run the following commands:

perl Build.PL
./Build
./Build test
./Build install
