There doesn't seem to be any challenge for the beginning of the game. While it might have been too hard before, still the world where the only enemies in a non-closed confinment are angry dryads is a bit boring to explore, especially if it's larger than "small" (playing at "normal" now).
Maybe, don't spawn the enemies the first day or two, but spawn them on the second respawn of the world? Or find any other solution to provide some other sort of fun for overworld exploration.
This changes have been a direct reaction to some feedback I've got from two people who tried the game. It seems most new players tend to die very often before they are able to understand how the game works. I guess that scares away a lot of new players.
But I agree with you currently the overworld seems a bit to boring.
What the game needs is a save space for new players.
Maybe this could be fixed by adding some monster spawners to the overworld that get activated after two days or something like this?
