First result on Google and Duckduckgo is https://github.com/forgefed/forgefed, and nothing explains that development is continuing elsewhere. There is only a link to the dead mailing list, and people may not see the links in the last e-mail.
I first thought this was abandoned after a quick web search, look at the GitHub repository, and peek at the ML. But someone told me it is not!
Adding to the header and the README a warning/link to this repository would improve this page’s place in search engine and guide users who happen to find the old repository.

(hitting upon this every time wanting to mention it to others. (like now, regarding https://github.com/github/dmca/blob/master/2020/10/2020-10-23-RIAA.md (which i consider is another clue for the necessity of the likes of forgefed.)) i find forgefed easier by websearching for fr33domlover.)
