I watched some FOSDEM talks, including the NG0 and Radicle ones, and realized that maybe if we have good docs about (1) the story and motivation of ForgeFed (2) what it looks like in practice, then perhaps:

  1. It will feel more real
  2. The faces behind the project (both as individuals and as the Peers community) will be more clear and visible
  3. People will have a better clue how it works and be motivated to participate or ask forges etc. to participate and make implementations
  4. We will be able to highlight software freedom, community, participation/hacker culture etc. values

If anyone wants to do talks/presentations about ForgeFed, that would be great, let's talk :) the more the better. I hope to find some time to collect and arrange some materials for this. Anyone can do a talk, doesn't have to be just me or @zPlus. If you're interested and/or going to some related conference etc., we can figure out the info to present etc.

Web page / blog post / slides etc. could have practical examples. Kind of like the intro of the AP spec, or like the Mastodon blog posts / intro video.

Yes! Even as somebody who's been trying to follow along a bit its still really hard from the outside to understand what this is or participate in any way. Honestly it feels like vaporware — a pipe-dream more than something people are actually working on. That's not a criticism of the development process so much as the lack of public facing documentation or explanation, which is what this issue covers.
