Lua ain't real perl

Tired of Lua and it's shit pattern matching? So am I. This lets you execute a Perl replace regex (s///) on the current buffer.

How to use

  • You need Perl (duh). If you're a windows luser get strawberry Perl.
  • Place folder in ~/.textadept/modules
  • Bind it to a key like so:

    larp = require('larp')
    keys.f8 = larp.replace

Examples

Use the g flag to replace something more than once per line.

  • /foo/bar/ This is the basic usage, no need to type the leading s.
  • /^(\w)/uc $1/ Replace every first character with an uppercase version of itself. Remember kids, there is nothing Perl can't do!
