The game always crashes 1/4 into the electro symbol. The launcher should have applied the patches! And yes the sound is working. I am using proton experimental and have tried def wine but it crashes in the same place

According to the log, both patches was applied successfully. Can you start the game and re-test if it works?
Make sure you're starting it from the same directory as Launcher mentioned: /mnt/2e529a0e-9383-4f5e-99a8-17915cc7a4b4/genshin or by using Launcher's Start button.
If you still experience white-screen problem, try applying the patch manually and if it doesn't work report to the patch repository.
Yes, thank you.

didn't work. Used lutris and installed dxvk, corfonts and faudio. Now it works!
Great, I'm closing the issue because the problem resolved.
