script for checking state of libreboot installation:

  • if MAC is valid/changed from default
  • if PRx is actually locked
  • PRx regions
  • libreboot from dmidecode, version etc
  • libreboot from cbfs compare to dmidecode
    • if dmidecode is valid but cbfs is not -> flashed something that ain't libreboot
    • if dmidecode is older/newer -> not rebooted yet to downgraded/upgraded libreboot
    • if dmidecode is invalid but cbfs is valid -> you will reboot to libreboot yay
  • from env file for grub -> is it password protected (together with PRx locking), etc

Would this be a single utility, or separate utils? Some of these are already implemented in various programs. For instance, flashrom can tell you the status of PRx.

I think this is a good idea.

Script, using multiple binary utils like flashrom, cbfstool, nvramtool, iotools, intel_reg, ectool (or pretty much everything we would have)
