These revert patches could be done upstream, but not in a hardcoded way like libreboot. Instead, a check could be done at build time: if microcode disabled, apply these changes, otherwise, retain current coreboot behaviour.

This would allow libreboot to have these hotfixes, without having to maintain these patches, but the changes from these patches would not be applied when building with microcode enabled.

That way, osbmk and lbmk will be more in sync. This will also benefit upstream.
