Spectre and Meltdown are being patched by the processor industry, but the patches in Microcode are all proprietary. Linux's patches might be all free software, but I don't know what the status of OpenBSD is with this issue,
will we handle this differently than OpenBSD? This may be an issue that requires intervention on how the upstream OS works. @jadedctrl

@jimmy, it looks like OpenBSD will have their own Meltdown mitigations[1] but I'm not sure when those will be (are?) implemented.
