; it is best to
use virtualenv and pip to handle these. But if you insist on (Arch GNU/Linux)
packages, you will probably want the following:
Clone personal-site
git clone https://libregit.org/heckyel/personal-site.git
Run virtualenv
.
cd personal-site && virtualenv ./venv/
Activate the virtualenv.
source ./venv/bin/activate
Install dependencies through pip
.
pip install -r requirements.txt
Copy settings.py.example
to settings.py
and modify.
Make sure to uncomment the appropriate database section (either sqlite or
PostgreSQL).
cp -v personalsite/settings.py.example personalsite/settings.py
Check syntax.
python manage.py check --deploy
Migrate changes.
python manage.py migrate
Create superUSER
python manage.py createsuperuser
Use the following commands to start a service instance
python manage.py runserver
The HACKING.md file helps the deployment in production
