What about a rating system similar to #137 ?
This would effect create a "hottest pics" and "memes" filter in the popular/trending notices.
This can even be taken a step further and become a sort of points system that rewards people for posting and posting stuff that the community likes.

Everywhere should have BBcode & HTML embed codes with an option to have an adjustable thumbnail image.
I assumed that gallery images would also allow comments and that they would show up in the appropriate timeline. Or, this could be disabled by user either per image, album, or in total.
Images and albums could be rearrangable by drag & drop or, as fallback or after ticking a box, by number i.e. -100 to 100.
