  4. What is GNU MediaGoblin?
  5. ========================
  6. * A place to store all your different media (photos, videos, audios,
  7. and more!) that’s as awesome as, if not more awesome than, existing
  8. network services (Flickr, YouTube, etc)
  9. * Customizable!
  10. * A place for people to collaborate and show off original and derived
  11. creations. Free, as in freedom. We’re a GNU project after all.
  12. * Extensible: Plugins allow you to add new media types (3d models?
  13. Presentations and documents? Yes, and more!) or extend old ones.
  14. * A real community, and we'd love to have you join us!
  15. Is it ready for me to use?
  16. ==========================
  17. Yes!
  18. Can I help/hang out/participate/whisper sweet nothings in your ear?
  19. ===================================================================
  20. Yes! Please join us and hang out! For more information on where we
  21. hang out, see `our Join page <http://mediagoblin.org/join/>`_
  22. Where is the documentation?
  23. ===========================
